Born in 1993 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, based in Paris. Graduated in 2017 Bachelor of Fine Arts Paris 8 Saint-Denis and recently graduated National Superior Diploma in Plastic Arts from the Beaux Arts school in Paris.
Lea Simhony graduated from the Beaux-Arts de Paris in June 2022, from the studios of Clément Cogitore and Nina Childress. She works mainly with oil paint on medium and large format canvases, but also explores photography and drawing.
She is part of a multidisciplinary art collective, Rudus Flora, which was awarded the Dream Big Grow Fast François de Hatvany/Fondation de France prize in 2021.
In June 2023, she was awarded the Prix Maurice Colin-Lefranc Fondation de France.
Her work was exhibited in "Les formes de l'oubli" at the Camille Pouyfaucon gallery in Paris (December 2022 - February 2023), as well as in the Rudus Flora exhibition (May 2023), gallery BSL (June-September 2023), and in *My Other Self* at the Mathilde Le Coz gallery in Paris. Her work is also part of India Madhavi's collection, exhibited in New York, The One High Line Residence.
